Through the years Bobcat® skidloaders have undergone improved designs which are categorized in series. We'll go though each of the different series and give key factors on how to tell which seires your machine is.
F and C Series
These two series were the first to be offered by Bobcat®. The reason these two series are lumped together is because they were manufatcured around the same time and look almost identical to each other. This makes it a little difficult to tell which series you may have. However, there are a few minor design changes between the two. Here are two quick ways to tell if your machine is an F and C series :
1. The seat lap bar hinges in the front ( image #1 )
2. Rectangular or circular Headlights ( image #2 ) - ( image #3 )- coming soon

The best way to see if your machines is an F or C series would be to look at the serial number plate located on the back side of the arm right above the rear grill. If your machine does not have a serial number plate or if it is unreadable, give us a call and are knowledgeable staff will help you figure out which series you have.
G - Series
The G-series machines, which started production around 1999 and ended around 2013, had significat changes from the old F and C series machines. The G series machines are then divided in sub catagories of T, A , and S models. The definitons of the different sub models are as follows :
T - Track ( machine uses tracks instead of wheels )
A - All wheel steer ( Wheels pivot with the uses of a joystick )
S - Skidsteer ( the most common, skid to steer )
Here are the two quickest ways to tell if your machine is a G-series :

2. Triangular Headlights ( image #2 )

M - Series
The M-series skidloader line started production in 2013 and is Bobcat's® latest series of skidloader. This series also comes with the same sub models as the G-series machines, T , A , and S models. Here are a few quick ways to tell if you have an M-series machine :
1. Headlights have a triangular shape, but have a curve on the bottom of the light ( image #1 )
2. On the new M-series cab design, the door opening has a U-shaped curve at the bottom ( image #2 )
